How our internal content-planning tool handles Google data.
Effective date: 20 October 2026
This policy covers Think Sites SEO, a reporting tool made and run by Think Apps AI Ltd ("we", "us"), 12 Hibel Road, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK10 2AB, United Kingdom. Contact: support@thinkappsai.com. You can read what the tool does on its own page.
The tool is used only by Think Apps AI staff, signed in with their own Google accounts. Members of the public do not sign in to it.
When a staff member signs in with Google, the tool asks for two permissions and reads only this data:
webmasters.readonly, read-only): for websites we own, the search terms that showed our pages, the page addresses, clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position. These are totals from Google. They do not identify any searcher.adwords): keyword ideas, average monthly search volumes and competition levels for the UK. We do not read or change adverts, campaigns, budgets, billing or account settings. We also receive a sign-in token from Google so the weekly job can run. We do not access Gmail, Drive, contacts, calendars, or any other Google data, and we do not collect the staff member's profile information.
We use this data only to plan and improve the guides on our own websites. Each week the tool writes a short report. Our team reads it, and our AI writing assistant (Claude, by Anthropic) uses it to suggest topics. A person reviews every page before it is published.
We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, selling, or training AI models.
We do not sell, rent or share Google user data with anyone. The reports are processed only by the services we use to run the tool: GitHub (which stores the reports and runs the weekly job) and Anthropic (whose AI assistant reads the reports for us). Both act on our behalf and may not use the data for their own purposes. We would disclose data only if the law required it.
Think Sites SEO's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We keep weekly reports for up to 24 months, then delete them. To have the tool stop reading data at once, the staff member can remove its access in their Google account under Third-party apps and services; we then delete the stored token. To ask us to delete reports or the token sooner, email support@thinkappsai.com and we will do it within 30 days.
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Email support@thinkappsai.com.
If we change how the tool uses Google data, we will update this page and its effective date first.
