Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

Last Updated: August 2026

CSCS Test Prep 2026 Kit ("the App") is a mobile study aid designed to help users prepare for the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test. The App is developed and operated by Think Apps AI ("we", "us"), who acts as the data controller for any personal data processed through the App. You can contact us at support@thinkappsai.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is handled. This document applies to both the iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store) versions of the App.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

Your study progress, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device. This includes your question progress, perfected questions, flash card read status, test scores, streak data, achievements, and app settings. This study data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

2. No Account Required

The App does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or enter any personal information to use its features.

3. Data That Leaves Your Device

A limited amount of data is sent to third-party services so the App can function and improve:

  • Anonymous usage analytics (see Analytics)
  • Crash reports (see Crash Reporting)
  • Feedback survey responses โ€” only if you choose to submit one (see Feedback Surveys)
  • Subscription entitlement data (see Subscription & Purchase Data)

None of this data includes your name, email address, or contact details, and we never ask for them.

4. Analytics

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect usage data such as app opens, screen views, and feature usage, associated with a randomly generated app-instance identifier. This identifier does not reveal who you are, and we use the data only in aggregate to understand how the App is used and to improve it. The data is processed by Google on our behalf. It is not used for advertising and is not shared with advertisers.

5. Crash Reporting

The App uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports when the App malfunctions. A crash report includes technical information such as your device model, operating system version, and the state of the App at the time of the crash. Crash reports do not include your study data or any information you type. We use them solely to diagnose and fix problems.

6. Remote Configuration & App Integrity

The App uses Firebase Remote Config to retrieve configuration settings (for example, whether an optional feedback survey is available), and Firebase App Check (Apple App Attest on iOS; Google Play Integrity on Android) to verify that requests to our services come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App. App Check involves your device exchanging integrity signals with Apple or Google; it does not give us access to any personal information.

7. Feedback Surveys

From time to time the App may invite you to complete an optional feedback survey. If you choose to submit one, your responses are stored on Google Firebase (Firestore) together with a randomly generated anonymous identifier, your platform, app version, device type, and subscription status โ€” but not your name or contact details. Please do not include personal information in free-text answers. If you would like a survey response deleted, contact us at support@thinkappsai.com and we will remove it.

8. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

The App offers premium features through in-app purchases and subscriptions, including auto-renewing subscription and one-time lifetime access options. Current pricing is shown in the App and on the store listing.

All purchase transactions are processed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable. We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment or financial information. Subscription management, including cancellation, is handled through your Apple ID or Google account settings.

9. Subscription & Purchase Data

The App uses RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage subscription entitlements and purchase verification. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to track your subscription status. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, or payment details. On iOS, RevenueCat may also receive an Apple Search Ads attribution token, which indicates whether the App was installed after tapping an Apple Search Ads advert; this token does not identify you personally. For more information, see RevenueCat's privacy policy.

10. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Firestore, Remote Config, App Check) โ€” analytics, crash reporting, feedback storage, configuration, and app integrity
  • RevenueCat โ€” subscription and purchase management

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies for more information on how they handle data.

11. International Transfers

The third-party services above are operated by companies based in the United States, so the limited data described in this policy may be processed outside the UK. These transfers are protected by recognised safeguards, including the UK–US Data Bridge and standard contractual clauses, in accordance with UK data protection law.

12. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data we hold about you, including the rights to access it, correct it, have it deleted, and object to or restrict its processing. Because the App operates without accounts, most data we process cannot be linked back to you by us; where it can (for example, a feedback survey you tell us about), we will honour these rights. To exercise them, contact us at support@thinkappsai.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

13. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us at support@thinkappsai.com so we can take appropriate action.

14. Data Deletion

Your study data is stored only on your device: you can delete it at any time using the "Reset Everything" option in Settings, or by uninstalling the App. Data already sent to third-party services (anonymous analytics, crash reports, and any feedback surveys you submitted) is retained and deleted in line with those services' policies; you can ask us to delete a submitted survey by emailing support@thinkappsai.com.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

16. Contact

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please email us at support@thinkappsai.com, or reach out through the app store listing.

The questions, explanations, and content within the App are independently created for educational and revision purposes only.

4. No Guarantee of Results

While the App aims to help you prepare for the real test, we make no guarantee that using the App will result in passing the CITB HS&E Test. The real test may contain different questions, formats, or content not covered by this App. Always refer to official CITB study materials, such as the official revision book, for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

5. Content Accuracy

7. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

The App offers premium subscription and lifetime access options. Current pricing is shown in the App and on the store listing.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play Store account settings after purchase.

Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable, and refund requests should be directed to Apple or Google in the first instance. We do not collect or store any payment information. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Any free trial period, if offered, will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. User Conduct

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of personal study and revision. You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App's developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to: failure to pass the CITB HS&E Test, loss of data, or reliance on the App's content. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without prior notice. We are not liable if all or any part of the App is unavailable at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
